Mawi beach

Mawi beach Lombok is a gorgeous, small stretch of beach and is one of the most popular surfing spots in Lombok. You’ll be amazed by the crystal clear water as well as how peaceful the beach is. It’s a perfect spot to watch the sunset and surfers from the comfort of the beach front warungs.Entry costs 10K IDR per vehicle. This fee also gives you access to Semeti Beach, which is the neighbouring beach.

You can also purchase food from one of the warungs located along the beach. You can buy mie goreng (fried noodles) for 25.000 IDR or a big bottle of water for 10.000 IDR.Mawi Beach Lombok is a small, super relaxed, laid back beach. The beach has crystal clear water that is very clean as well as perfect white sand. You’ll find plenty of surfers as this is one of the most popular surf spots on Lombok. The waves break beyond the reef and are quite big so we wouldn’t recommend this spot for beginner surfers. The water close to shore is very calm while the waves out the back are bigger and is where you will find most of the surfers.

To the right of the beach is a small hill which you can walk up to view the untouched neighbouring beach. On top of the hill is also a very relaxing and quiet spot to sit and watch the ocean waves roll in. All along the beach close to the car park, you will find small warungs and tables which are a good place to relax in the shade.We definitely enjoyed our time at Mawi Beach as we spent the afternoon watching the surfers over lunch and going for a quick dip in the crystal clear water to cool off.
